ABOUT US
Hello and welcome to Renica Miniature Bull Terriers. My name is Caitlin Vance and I have been involved in owning and exhibiting purebred dogs since 2003. I am located in Airdrie, Alberta.

I started as a junior handler, handling any dog I could at local dog shows. While I attended university I turned my attention towards obedience, and achieved an Obedience Trial Championship in that time with Becka, my second Doberman also known as CH OTCH Gentry's Beck n' Call CGN RE TT ROMC RXMCL VC. I co-bred 2 litters from Becka with her breeder but I decided it wasn't the breed I wanted to continue on with.

After university I began working as Public Health Nurse and bought my first Miniature Bull Terrier, Lottie. I love this little breed and think they can be the best dog you can own. It is important to do a lot of research and to meet them in person before you buy one. They can be a lot of work! But if you like a dog that is funny, not to interested in listening to you, and always happy to do something fun then they might be the right dog for you. It was shortly after I got Lottie that I realized any hopes of performance sports were highly unlikely so I decided I needed another Doberman. Bristol has been a wonderful addition and has been a wonderful dog that has been present for all minibull litters, socializing and playing with all the puppies.

I currently serve as the president of the Western Canada Miniature and Bull Terrier Club. I am a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and the Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America.

Our goal here at Renica is to breed Miniature Bull Terriers that win in the Conformation Show ring. Not every dog needs to be a show dog and I am happy and proud of my puppies that go on to be wonderful family pets. I aim for dogs with sound temperament and of good health. I exhibit my dogs in shows as it is a hobby I greatly enjoy as well as a venue to prove our breeding is improving.

I encourage everyone to learn more about this breed on the Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America website www.mbtca.org. If you think one of these dogs is right for you feel free to contact me at caitlin.renica@gmail.com.
